Vicki Cooper, CIP, HCRI

Vicki was born in Kamloops, BC and moved to Medicine Hat with her family where she finished high school. Vicki started her insurance career early by working at Ken Bright Adjusters in 1989 as a secretary. She was immediately drawn to the claims side watching the adjusters interact with their clients and insurers.

Vicki moved to Calgary in 1991 and started her adjusting career with the Wawanesa Mutual Insurance Company. She was involved in the training of the new Mount Royal Insurance students while also handling a variety of property, auto, injury claims for 9 years and rose to the position of senior claim’s adjuster.

Vicki then was fortunate enough to be able to stay at home with her 4 children during their early years, However, she kept her hands in the industry by helping her husband with his insurance brokerage.

She then got back into the adjusting world and joined the independent claims handling side in 2009. Since 2009, she has worked with different IA firms and has furthered her knowledge in the industry by obtaining her CIP designation. She has also obtained her HAAG roof inspection certificate along with many fire investigations, water mitigation, and liability courses. Vicki’s love of the industry has led her to adjusting large hail events, along with the large flood event in High River. Most recently, Vicki handled many fire claims in the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires. Vicki is proficient at scoping, statement taking and preparing appraisals and is a very valuable key member of the TMD team.
